About
The Neurosurgery Course 2025 is being brought to you by The ASSERT Centre, UCC/CoMH and The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. It will be held in The ASSERT Centre, College of Medicine & Health, UCC, Cork on Wednesday the 22 January 2025.
Participants will gain hands-on experience and have access to fresh frozen cadavers in our state of-the-art surgical skills laboratory. The simulated operating room features integrated audio-visual facilities to allow for real time and post-procedure feedback from expert faculty. There will be 2 participants per cadaver and there will be 1-to-1 supervision/direction by the expert faculty.
Pre-course reading material will be provided.
Course Overview:
- Anterior skull Base: sellar and suprasellar lesions
- Lateral Skull Base approaches
- Subfrontal and bicoronal approach
- Interhemispheric transcallosal approach
