ASSERT/8 West collaboration tackles Covid-19 with AFC Ajax

ASSERT/8 West collaboration is delighted to have got to the final selection process in “Reimagine Football” initiative from JC Arena/ Ajax

This is the result of a lot of hard work from the ASSERT/ 8 West collaboration on innovation in MedTech – CREW project. Lets hope that Irish Sports take up the challenge of bringing the fans back!

Reimagine football –

“Leading European football organizations, including UEFA, Royal Netherlands Football Association, City Football Group, AFC Ajax, and the Johan Cruijff ArenA, have joined forces to tackle the challenges this global pandemic brings for football.

Through Reimagine Football, we have challenged companies worldwide, ranging from start-ups to big corporates to come with smart innovations to reimagine football in the context of COVID-19: How to keep fans engaged while they cannot visit football stadiums, how to create a safe and engaging environment for fans, players and other personnel in the stadiums and how to enable youth and amateurs to keep playing and enjoying football.

For 7 weeks we hosted an active open innovation platform, which resulted in 329 solutions from 38 countries. The solution providers had over 1100 online interactions with football experts, gaining valuable feedback in the process. Now the most promising solutions will be pitching during the Virtual Finals Event on the 10th of September 2020, where collaborations will be shaped.”
