Anatomy of Complications @ ASSERT

Anatomy of Complications Workshop held for the first time in Europe at ASSERT

Hands on practical surgery and training from expert faculty. A must for anyone doing Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

The Anatomy of Complications Workshop (ACW) is coming to the Northern Hemisphere for the first time since its inception in 2000 and will take place in Cork on the 31st August and 1st of September 2018. This is as a result of collaboration between The Anatomy of Complications Workshop directors, the Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC) at The University of Western Australia and the ASSERT Centre in Cork.

This world recognized resource was conceived and developed by Prof Ian Hammond (Gynaecological Oncologist) and Dr John Taylor (Urologist) in association with Prof Paul McMenamin (Anatomist) in Perth, Australia. The objective of the course is to enhance the understanding of the anatomy of the pelvis and improve management and prevention of surgical complications. It is aimed at Consultant Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and senior residents.

The course consists of four integrated modules: –

  • Anatomy
  • Surgical Skills
  • Cadaveric Surgery
  • Case Presentation
